Philly Spring Clean Up
Date: April 14, 2012
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Place: 2500 Walnut Street (Walnut Street Bridge), Philadelphia
RSVP: Service@psuphila.org or ”join” our Facebook event.
Description: Volunteers will join us at the Schuylkill Banks Cleanup, cleaning up the banks under the Walnut Street Bridge. We will be picking up litter, sweeping the walkways, repainting bridge abutments, and mulching flower beds.
Additional Information: The importance of clean water is immeasurable. Every Philadelphian’s drinking water comes directly from the Schuylkill River. Cleaning the river banks not only improves the quality of our drinking water, but also the aesthetics of the banks for recreation.
